Dear ALL,
I am Mallikarjuna from Bangalore, working as Manual Tester having 4 years of total experience. Basically I am from Electronics Background.
I am aspiring to get into some technical role right from the beginning, Initially I learned Java and done certification but I did not do hands on, I failed to clear the technical rounds.
Currently from the market I got to know that SAP ABAP have good demand. I decided to become ABAPer. So I thought to proceed with that one, But one of my friend has suggested that learning core ABAP takes lot of time and the expectations will be very high. So he advised me first jump into SAP area through BI/BW and with that you will get few concepts of ABAP, once you enter into the SAP environment, then update core ABAP fully.
I have two ways before me, I confused a lot to choose which one.
1) Entering into SAP directly as ABAPer or ( till now I don't have any exposure to coding in IT as )
2) Through BI/BW
Please guide me which one will suite to me based on my background and experience.
Appreciate your time and help.
Thanks
S Mallikarjuna Bhargava

Abap and BI/BW are both different,
if you are good in program then choose abap, if you are interest in Data base then go for BI/BW.
you know java right, then you can go for HANA Platform(UI5, Hana XSJS, Hana Portal,...).
