Dear All,,
I am a BE Mechanical Graduate with 1 year experience in Service Industry with bit knowledge in sale. I want to stream line my career by SAP module related to my work experience. After consulting many local institutes I have got suggestions to go with Material Management. I want my experience to be considered and want work in Mechanical Sectors. Kindly suggest me on the following points:
1. What is in general Job prospects by 2011 after i get trained up in SAP.
2. A institute boasts of SAP CERTIFICATION from LEARN SAP U.S a institute from U.S.A with course fees of 80k for a duration of 3 months. Is this worth????
3. SAP in ABAP, BI, BO has more demands than MM. By Taking up ABAP, BI, BO will i have to leave my experience?? Will the experience be counted if i go with ABAP???
Kindly do the needful by answering my queries.
Waiting for a mutual reply at the earliest.

Hi,
Learning SAP is good, you are adding values. If you have passion for programming then go for ABAP other wise go for Functional.
Selecting which module is depends on your interest. Since you don't have SAP experience, it is advisable to go for certification, it is bit expensive though.
Thanks,
Venkat

Dear Venkat,
Thanks for your valuable information. Im obliged to you for showing interest in helping out fresher. I strongly believed SAP seniors in this forum would help out newbies but I regret to say response for my post isnt supporting the cause.
My interest is in module reg Quality Management as my earlier domain was also related to inspections. But SAP Training institutes strongly suggest more than 3+ years experience to go with QM module. Is it so??
Every training institute suggested MM for my profile. Also as I want to work in sector related to Mechanical, going with ABAP will not add any value to my previous experiences.
Kindly let me know your suggestions.
Regards
Naveen
