Dear All,

I have done MBA in operations.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any opportunities in market which paid me a good salary, so i decided to put a chance into SAPMM as i have relevant domain experience.

Please guide me which role is best suited for me in SAP which will feel that i am sync with management

Because professionally i am stuck and very fedup that i am not growing in terms of payperk.

Do you have experience only as a business user or also in configuration or development?

If you have experience only as a business user, my post will probably disappoint you. If you are looking for fast salary increase in SAP consulting when you are just starting out (domain experience is nice, but without any support or implementation experience you will be starting at entry level job and salary).

You will also be competing for the same jobs against more than the usual number of consultants with experience who were laid off in the past few months. For some of these consultants layoffs mean agreeing to work on mundane and poorly paid jobs which would otherwise be targeted by applicants with no prior configuration or development experience.

Even before the Covid situation it took years of hard work and dedication until you become good enough to be in a position to negotiate a decent salary, now it will be harder to get your foot into the door.

If you have learnt on your own some Java programming, etc, it may be a bit easier to find a good job even now, but for SAP positions, especially for common skills like MM or SD, I think that the market is too saturated.

If you have a few years of configuration or development experience as well - it depends on how well you will perform at interviews and what projects you had so far (for some jobs they are specifically looking for S/4HANA implementation experience).

If you are looking for a position as a project manager (I do not know what you are interested in doing, because I did not understand what "which will feel that i am sync with management" means)- do you have any proven experience with leading IT projects, do you have some certifications like PMP? These may help you a little bit, at least in the initial stages of filtering CVs.

Please do not be offended by this, but it seems that your main motivation to switch positions is paycheck-based, it is very difficult to become good at something if you are not genuinely interested in it. Think of what you actually want to do and start working against this goal little by little. If this is consulting - get access to a test S/4HANA system where you can configure processes, read the official SAP Help and prototype, answer questions on SAP Community, read blogs to keep your knowledge and skills up-to-date and then, when you feel confident enough to apply for a junior position you might have a chance.
