Dear All,

I need your expert advise on the selection of module to add new technology to my skillset and to switch my career.

I did my BE (EEE) in 2005 and from 2006  till now  i am working as  Tally.ERP Technical  and functional consultant .

Could you please advise me the best Module i should take up wit respect to add new technology to my resume and job opportunities for it accordingly.

Dear ,

         My advice if you have tally exp means you handle all modules but you have lot of knowledge of FI . Please go for FI/CO . Best of luck.

dear Sandeep, i have handled Tally.ERP training ,Tally definition language(TDL) Training and done implementation of different modules in Tally with required customization as well,currently since from 2010 i am more in to the customization/development/Programming side of Tally.ERP, so still you think i should go for FICO as i have basic knwoledge on corejava and sql also .please review your suggesion and let me know please!

If you belong to development side then you have to choose the abap where you can utilize your exp of development and sql .

but how about the job opportunitiies? from the job opportunities point of view as i will be fresher to SAP marktet, if i am chosing ABAP will it be having more opening or for FICO ?

ultimately all we need a job to settle down.

If you want sap best career then its plus point for you because you have all technical knowledge in sap you new but getting job in abap is much easier then FI/CO or any other module .

once you decided to choose particular module , accordingly you need install the related server components. SAP installation can be handled by SAP basic consultant.

As you know the all financial terms...

I hope FI module is more suitable for you...

As a functional, You can firstly select FI module, then you can learn CO module later....

If you are interested other functional module, then you can also go for other modules....

ABAP stands only for coding....

If you choose ABAP, then your TDL experience will not revise or consider...

Because TDL is about financial matter and ABAP is only about coding...

As now market ABAP is also demand-able module..

You can find a lots of opportunity for ABAP fresher..

ABAP is required when SAP doesn't cover the business logic.

ABAP is specially used for reporting purpose.
