Dear All,
I have applied for Atos in SAP SD module and training will start from 16th of December 2013.
Its a highest risk which i have taken in my life, with no job in hand, I am going for training as beginner, and then will go for exam within 15 days of course completion.
I have zero knowledge in SAP SD, but has a faith in myself to understand the concepts and practical knowledge in blazing speed of 20 days.
Its all happening at stake of my decision to not make my career in ever challenging Sales domain.
God Knows what will happen in coming months, but i m keeping my hopes alive and boosting my confidence.
Need your guidance in coming days as well...!!!

If you have the good skill to take the concept and practical knowledge, Then why are you in nerves ?
Confidently go to ATOS, take the knowledge of SAP SD.. As well as read the all things which they provided.
Then go for the exam.

Hard work, perseverance, good instructor, money, good communication....would also play an important role.

"A quick learner" is definitely a "nice to have" plus. But more important is "Clear learner".
When you are clear with your concept, then there are a number of benefits -
- Perform well in your job interview
- Explain the client, exactly what can be done and what can not be done. Also, why (SAP technical perspective)

SAP is about being an expert is a field.
A company would give you a task, and you have to take the ownership of the same and do an "accountable" job (of it).
Added: Therefore during your training, try to get clear examples for the concepts.
"Partner" - who is a partner?
The transport company that transports the goods from your company (the seller) to the buyer. The transport company is a partner to you.
The business requirement might be that the partner information has to be stored in the sales order.

I agree with your point to relate actual business process with basic building block of SAP SD Module.
But as a new entrant I am preparing my mind to learn A, B, C of SAP.
Also, I am having direct sales experience where I had not touchbase with stock, vendor or something like that. Since it was more of B2B sales and no channel parter involved in my profile. I was on my own to close sales cycle. Hence could you suggest what is that which one aspirant should have from domain /functional experience point of view before attending 1st day of training. ..

As your "1st day of training" starts tomorrow, it is late to ask this question!
If you were involved in closing sales deals with customers, then your experience is different from what is going to be covered in SAP SD.
In my opinion, going for Atos training (huge fee is involved) is not the correct decision.
Without relevant domain experience, after the training, getting a job would be difficult. Training institutes generally don't bother about candidates after the training over (and the fee is in)!
Anyway, be positive, work very hard and take this as a long term project (getting a job etc.)

Yes... now its the situation where I can't go back.
I am seeing some tough time ahead.
But as you said may be one day my hard work will put me in right place with good amount of SAP Knowledge
Long way to go....
Rest I have left to God and Time...!!!

I hope you have had Sales experience.
During training try to connect the things taught (SD functionalities, processes etc.) with the things you did and saw in the sales domain (job).

Dear Sandeep,
As you are already well experienced with your sales domain, I suggest you to analyze the business process, e.g. how the Sales/Business process is done between vendor and company, company to company (with in), General OTC process , A quick overview on these areas, Google it and understand the business process, Take any well established existing company as an example and understand how they do their business.

Hi Sandeep, I believe you might have completed your certification. Can you please share your experience about the training from Atos Mumbai and how genuine is their placement claim of being given a chance with Atos. As i have inquired recently and been recommended the SD module by them.
