Which one is Better, SAP CRM Functional or Technical.

Do any of these modules require any prerequisite information about any field before taking it up.

I am B.Tech(Computers) and also MBA (Marketing & Finance), but cant decide on which module.

Also, If I take up CRM technical, can I later do SAP BI and move into techno-functional role.

Is CRM functional purely marketing and CRM technical (ABAP based) ??

CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management.

I think if you have little know about SD module, then CRM will be little easy for you..

SAP CRM Functional or Technical both are good.. But its depend on your interest..

If you are interest about technical (ABAP coding), then you can choose the technical part..

And you are not interested about coding, then choose functional part..

Sir,

I am interested in Functional part. As I have also heard there is more growth in functional aspect of SAP, but have no prior knowledge in SD.

As far as Technical is concerned, is any previous experience on any module is required. I am a B.tech so I can do coding.

I was working as Business Analyst previously, and company I am currently working in wants me to be certified in SAP CRM functional or technical.

My interest is in Techno-functional role.

Can I move to SAP BI if I take up SAP CRM technical as my starting ?

CRM is not a prerequisite or a roadblock for SAP BI. You can decide which one to go with first.

Sir,

The company I am working for wants me to get certified in SAP CRM.

But my personal choice is SAP BI, but there is no requirement for BI professional in the company.

So, what I was thinking get trained in SAP CRM technical, gain experience on that and later do SAP BI on my own.

Is it possible, thats my question Sir

Okay,

SAP CRM functional or Technical, which do you think is of beneficiary.

Functional is complete sales oriented and Technical is coding oriented.

So if I keep BI i mind, is SAP CRM technical preferable?

If you have coding skills, go with technical.

I suggest you do a little bit of research about the career you are going to invest in, rather than depend on information from a few individuals.

Its your career and it must be your decision. You seem to lack the basic idea about SAP and its architecture. So getting half-baked suggestions and you jumping right in, will jeopardize your career prospects.

The first and most important thing to do if you have decided to start a career in SAP is to understand what SAP is all about, its architecture and the underlying Modules (Technical and Functional). Then depending on your skillsets and interest you need to find the best fit. Once you decide on what you are getting into, if you have any specific queries then you can take the help of the community.

Do not expect the forum to spoon feed you all the information. This thread will be locked now.
