Hello Team,
My name is Amith and I have been working in Dell International services, hyderabad, in technical support(Windows troubleshooting; networking; hardware support) for 8 years now. I am planning to shift my career towards SAP. I request you to kindly let me know what would be the best module for me to begin and master.
Your information will help me greatly in deciding as to what module to take up. I have done my BCA.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi Amith
I have also from the same background with lesser experience and got into SAP BI now after completing my SAP course in an SAP authorized training centre.
I would recommend you to take up SAP Basis since your experience will help you more in that. Most important point is to get trained in an authorized training centre.
You will be over qualified to be considered as a fresher without any certification or at least course completion. So its difficult to get hold of a job.
Better go to a training centre and discuss with them about your experience and interest. They will guide you with options and fess structure. Based on that you could decide.
All the best!!
Regards
Karthik

Hi Karthik,
I thank you very much for replying,
I have discussed with an authorized training center called Lithan Genovate in Hyderabad and they have quoted the fees approximately Rs 500,000 for 25 days and full day course.
That is kind of way too high. If you can suggest me some institute that would be really helpful.
Thanks a lot,
Amith.

Hi Amith
You are right. That's the practical/financial difficulty in getting into a new field after having so many years of experience. We cant rely on some local training centres. We are investing our future in this.
Either we should have experience or should have completed some courses if we are not freshers. I preferred the second option since the centres will even help in placements.
Or there are lot of free materials available for SAP Basis. Try downloading them and spend some time. Attend a fresher level interview. You will know how to go further.
There are lot of people waiting for chances. So think deeply and decide before you take next step

Karthik,
Thank you very much for providing such a valuable information.
I have one other query, will SAP prevail for a long time as its been in usage for a very long time now
Will it not be outdated as such.
