Every module is good and great as long as you get proficiency and put your heart. There is no module like untouchable module in SAP.

Nobody can confirm what is the best module after 5 years. Market and technologies are very dynamic and they are changing rapidly. Even if somebody tries to answer and confirm regarding a particular module, I cannot believe that.

Please guide me regarding hotest SAP module to get a job in USA market.

Please do not learn SAP only with the intention of getting some job. Select your own module based on your experience and expertise. Learn and work passionately, it would get give you long lasting career. Unless you show the great amount of commitment and passion for SAP, no module would be able to help you.

Hi Senthil,

Can you tell me which functional module your worked as "Analyst"?

Job market: New Dimensional products are picking up largely in US like SAP EWM, SAP EM, SAP TM, SAP CRM Sales and Service, SAP IS-Utilities, SAP IS-Retail etc.

SAP ECC - SAP SD, MM, FI and HR are always have market in US but competition little bit high if you go for an interview.

Simple way is to go to top 5 job portals in US, prepare excel sheet which areas have been posted in last 6 to 12 months.  Take analytical report which one seems picked up and largely asked.

You will come to know at least 3 or 4 modules currently hot in US market.  Also, talk to 5 to 10 outsourcing companies friendly then request them which one they are not getting candidates and which module is very niche in market.  They will you guide to arrive one or two modules in the last.

Now you have narrow down to choose the option .

Best of Luck.

Dear Gopi

Thanks for your input.

As Analyst/Functional consultant worked in Purchase, sales, inventory and Finance modules in Trading and distribution domain. These implementations are in another ERP product not SAP

Now planning to do certification in SAP and move in SAP market.

Hi Senthil,

You can take SAP certification in SAP SD or MM but if you are good in Finance Module then you can take that.  Compare to SAP SD and MM, you can see less competition in FI market but other side less opportunity too.  When you done SAP certification, don't wait and be choosy... If you get a consultant level or junior consultant level then take the job.

Best of luck.

Hi Senthil,

In US certification has more value. So you can go for some functional module certification.

Also you can go for modules like SAP IS Retail which includes SAP SD , SAP Retail and SAP MM. So you can cover more modules in one certification.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Hi Senthil,

Demand of sap standard modules like MM, FI, CO, SD, PP are always good and continue to stay good as long as people use SAP Solutions. so all modules are good to get a job in USA provided you have some knowledge, basics about the business processes, configuraiton and testing knowledge.

So the question which module would be best for you to get a job is actually depends on which module are you interested to learn and practice and passionate about.

Thanks & Regards

Dear friends,

I have done Masters in computer application in 2012. Since then I have been working as a Electrical engineering drafts person in an MNC company. Now I want to move to software side. I am in confusion which SAP module is suitable for me as I don't have the pprogrammingexperience. It would be great if anybody can give me some idea.

Also I am thinking to learn Informatica, OBIEE, but I am in confusion.

So please provide some suggestions which is suitable for me (Informatica/OBIEE or SAP particular module)  & which will have more opportunities to get a job.

Thanks & Regards,

Bhaskar.
