Need Career Advice

Hi friends,

I am seeking more of a career advice than a suggestion from all of you. I started my career with SAP ABAP wherein I worked for almost 4 years. I liked the work very much, I did few implementations and few support work as well. In between i got an opputunity to work in Workflows and I gradually started taking keen interest in workflows. Since last 3 years I am working as a Workflow consultant.

But I sometimes find myself puzzled when I think of future..what should I do more to strengthen my career..to give a sharpness to my career..Which module should I go that can help me to strengthen my carrier wherein I can utilise my past SAP Workflow/ABAP Experience.

Please guide me about some modules which could help me give me an edge in my career keeping my past SAP Workflows and ABAP experience in considertaion. I am open to write Certifications.

Thanks & Regards,

Smit

Hi Smit,

You might want to take a look at FAQ: Middle and Late SAP Career Paths. With ABAP and Workflow under your belt, you should never lack job offers. I think the question is, what excites you the most? Life is short. Pursue your passions.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,

Hi,

I suppose I am in the same boat as you - I've had about 5 years ABAP, followed by 5 years workflow.

One thing you might consider is to become a workflow expert in a module that interests you and is a little more specialised: for example, EHS (Safety), CRM, SRM, PSCD or HR.

I have chosen PSCD myself... But I think I'll always stick with workflow. It is awesome.

cheers
