Hi all,
I am Pritam Upadhyay. I have been working with System Level Solutions (India) Pvt. Ltd as Junior Software Engineer since 17th November 2014.
I've cleared certification on 9th January 2014. But due to medical urgency at home, I had to compromise my career as an ABAP associate and had to move to my home town. For 9 months, I couldn't concentrate on my career. Finally i decided to join as a .NET Developer at System Level Solutions (India) Pvt. Ltd as there is not any single company who hires ABAPers near by me.
As a part of contract I have with System Level Solutions (India) Pvt. Ltd, I can not leave my job before 2 years. My 2 years' contract will be completed on 17th November 2016.I am thinking to change my job from .NET developer to ABAP Associate. As I have cleared certification in 2014, I just want to know that, Am I still alligible to work as an ABAP Associate? or Let me be more clear, Will I get interview call if I apply for the position of ABAP Associate?
Thanks in Advance,
Pritam Upadhyay.

Hi Pritam
I realise this your question is quite some time ago so apologies for a late reply. '
I hope whatever the medical emergency was did have a good outcome and all is much better now. It's a challenge and sometimes unfair when life takes a turn for the worse and sends your career off on a trajectory you don't see happening as well as the effort and hard work is takes to get things back on track
I can't really comment at to whether you are eligible for work or not as that is really going to come down to the employer. The challenge you face is that you are competing with graduates from more recent batches and the job placement in India can be quite difficult. I have noticed that members on community have in the past suggested to apply for jobs to smaller consultancies.
In the mean time you could look into getting access to a demo system and brushing up on your skills. Get into the ABAP tags of this community or archive questions and look at the types of problems to think through how you would approach them
Good luck with your career searching - it would be wonderful news if it turns our you have already succeeded
Regards
Colleen
