Hello,
Just a quick tip for you, if you have interest in Coding and all, just close your eyes and try for SAP ABAP.
otherwise all MM,SD have good scope in market but you have experience in testing then go for TESTING in SAP..
SAP is not a rocket science so you can learn it easily.. Just do remember one thing

Hi Rajdip,
In SAP, you have Technical and Functional modules. You have to explore the different modules of SAP and see which one you like. Once you decide whether Technical/functional then see if you want to do coding or administration in technical side. For coding you can take up ABAP as there you have use of SQL. If you are interested in administration then you can go for SAP BASIS and also learn HANA Admin track.
I hope my response gave you some info.
Thank you,

Thanks a lot Nagarajan for your reply.
Could you please let me know how are the scope in market for admin.
I had trained on SQL in my industry training on my early days in IT and now using SQL in testing, but I can brush up SQL and confident that I can achieve good level in SQL again. Hopefully that will help me in ABAP.

Hi Rajdip,
To check for the current job market in SAP BASIS, I would say check in the job portals such as (recruit.net, naukri.com, dice.com, monster.com) and also with any recruiter that you know. Also, you can check with fellow colleagues/friends if they have any update. In general, I would say the market is not bad but since there are many people trying for new openings there might be some competition.
If you know SQL or had learnt it in the past then it wouldn't take much time in recalling anything that you learnt sometime back but didn't use recently.
Just keep practising whatever you learn in ABAP, in SANDBOX/IDES. You can see a number of questions, posts, blogs, articles by many people in SCN which will help you in understanding the different challenges and you also gain knowledge about a lot of ABAP real time stuff.
Just be a regular visitor at SCN and you will get a wealth of information and great learning.
Good Luck.

Thanks Chandra for your suggestion.
When you have mentioned SAP Testing, I have found many modules in SAP. I am clueless as how can I move to SAP testing without knowing the modules. Please give me some advise.
Reg SD,MM - Are these coding related?

I don't know much about testing but in SD MM mostly you will be having Smock Testing and front end testing.
but ABAP is purely coding based part of testing. In that you can have all kind of testing ..
