Hello All,
I have done BSIT (hons) also did some certifications like CCNA , CCSP etc and working as a technical specialist. I want to change my field and want to shift on SAP BASIS. Is my decision is right regarding future value of SAP BASIS . i am new in this field i have no experience in SAP BASIS i am working on Linux and planning to do a little bit oracle as well.
Please suggest me is it worth getting into SAP BASIS. I am confused . Do not know about job guarantee after completing SAP BASIS training and paper.
I am waiting for the reply...

Considering your background, choosing BASIS (among all SAP modules) would be a logical conclusion. Coming to job guarantee, let me warn you there's no such thing.
Even if you completed a certified course from any of the ATC's you are not guaranteed of a job. You need to be patient and perseverent to get a job as a fresher in SAP. Not trying to discourage you, but just letting you know the perils of hunting for jobs in SAP as a fresher. But then your strong networking background would come in handy though. Good luck and think hard before you take the plunge.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. One more thing for SAP BASIS do i need to go for oracle 10g administering as well as Linux. What level of expertise do i need b4 starting SAP BASIS so that i swallow it down easily. Linux level as well as oracle 10g Level .
