Hello all,
Am new to this forum.
I am a mechanical engineer with 7 years experience in aerospace industry.
Working as a senior design engineer in engineering services.
Please provide me some inputs as to how to move to SAP and which module of SAP
might be good with respect to my field and also how are the employment prospects for
the same?
Also which SAP certifications are suitable for my case...
Thanks in advance,
Sandesh

Hi Sandesh,
Aerospace industry is very good Globally. Why do you want to move to SAP? If you come to SAP then you will start as a fresher, so before take this move please think at least 10 times.
Regarding your question:
SAP Industry specific is best suitable for you: SAP Aerospace & Defense, but this very very niche skill and very less demand globally & in India.

Do some research before take a move? Can you check with SAP Education India whether they can offer this SAP Aerospace and Defense Training & Certification.

Hello Gopi,
Thanks for the reply.
My reasons for moving to SAP are because of less scope in my existing field
And in the next 5 to 10 years I don't see any high demand of jobs related to my experience.
So I want to move to SAP because of good demand for SAP professionals
in the next 5 - 10 years.
I would like to know which alternative path I can choose in SAP..
i.e. can I choose SAP MM because my engineering is in mechanical domain?
Also which institute is preferred for training in SAP module in Bangalore and
what is their costs?
Thanks in advance,
Sandesh
Thanks

Hi Sandesh,
Check SAP MM and SAP PP modules. I don't know whose offering in India because I am out of India right now.
You can check other discussions in this forum, someone mentioned some SAP Authorized Institutes or wait a day or two, our forums guys will help you to find a right institute or google it to get one.
