Hi,

I am 6 years of IT exp in software testing working with Top IT Multinational Organization. I have SQL knowledge.

Could you please let me know if I choose SAP for my career growth now, then how it will help me and which module will help me?

Also I have heard that there are many SAP testing opening(like ERP testing), so will SAP module help me in testing career as well?

Really need your advise on this.

Hello Rajdip,

As you have good knowledge of SQL then you can work on ABAP testing. ABAP is purely coding based part of SAP and in this your SQL skill also can be useful.

Hi Rajdip,

With reference to testing in general in IT field, after a point the growth is almost stagnant. You either have to move to management or a lead position at the max. You have 6 years experience and you know SQL so you can start with either of the following in SAP:

- ABAP testing,  if you want to stay with testing.

- Learn BI/BO/BODS + HANA.

- Go for any functional module in SAP.

Most importantly, don't ever quit your current job until you learn and gain knowledge in any module of SAP and you have a good job offer from a company in SAP.
