Hi Narasimha Reddy,

Good to know that you have worked on domains of Retail and USA payroll,as you mentioned you have  technical knowledge also , better to learn ABAP-HR and learn in depth  USA payroll you will get very good opportunities in the market, and you have an option of choosing SAP Retail- this is another module in SAP, but choose which one suits to you ( SAP-RETAIL or USA PAYROLL with abap knowledge,).

Hi,

If you are good in Programming the Best Suitable Module for you is SAP ABAP .

This Module has a Lot of scope in the Market and you will have wide range of Oppurtunities.

Hi NR,

If you are good at coding and debug skills then go for ABAP, in that you can learn like Webdynpro and oops concept which more useful now days.

All the best.

You may consider two options:

a) ABAP: If you are good in conding, programming and debugging.

b) HR: As you have some kind of US payroll knowledge.

Hi Narasimha,

BASIS, ABAP or HANA would be best.

BASIS - if you want to move to administration.

ABAP - programming and debugging.

HANA - Database mangaement, cloud or Analytics.

Kalyan.

Can you please help me with , which module has a good market as a functional consultant in US ?

It's not just the point, which got a good market. If you want to be good at that what you do you have to love and life it. That's the most important point. After it you just cannot say, what does have the best market.. BASIS, ABAP, HANA or whatever else, everything has a market and everything is needed. It just depends where you are located. Just browse trough the internet, find people, who are having jobs at the customers and talk to them. You will not find a answer like this or that. IT doesn't work like that. And that is not a specific thing of SAP.

So, good luck and remember, first comes the fun.

Good luck

I Understand what you are saying, Let me put my question in other words:

I am in SAP MM module and I want to learn another module , as the consultants keep telling me that the market in MM is low as there are not many manufacturing industries in US, I get different advice, some asks me to learn IS Retail to get better jobs and other ask me to get knowledge on PP side . I am confused here, if I want to learn another module in SAP along with MM what should I Select

You can learn SAP MM related module.

WM..

Many company needs SAP MM/WM consultant.

I suggest go for WM with MM module.

And one things I also suggest, Please learn CIN with MM module.

There are a lots of demand for SAP MM consultant with CIN.

Why do you think that MM module is not need in market?

95% copanies that implement SAP need MM(it is one of great 3 core modules - FI-CO-MM)

For future groth you can learn cross modules such as SD, PP, WM(depends on your interest, they all in demend in iqual position)

Also you can learn SRM as SAP ECC addon of deep supply functionality( there are less demand but very narrow nish of spesiclists)
