Dear All,

I am newbie to SAP BASIS. All my past experience is with Java and J2EE technologies. In last 6 month I learn the following.

Installing SAP IDES.

Setting Up SAP GUI

User Administration.

Role Maintainance.

Transport.

SAP shutdown and start.

Client Administration.

My company is planning to offer me SAP BASIS course but I want to know that my current progress is good or not.

I am bit confuse about this new carreer but feel good to have less workload and more respect. As a java developer I have to be always creative and the updates in programming industry is really 1 after another.

I like to know my negative points in term of slow learning or skipping any important area. And your suggestions to improve it.

Thanks & Regards

Syed Saifuddin

SAP basis is more administrative and less creative than J2EE developer. Mostly you only need to find the right manual and do not have to "create" something. Maybe you would be interested in SolMan? Regards, Otto
