Moving from support to consulting and changing the module by the way

Hi all,

my situation is as follows: I have been in IT for 10 years now and the last five years I have been solving OSS tickets (creating notes) on a rather exotic component. I would love to change to become a technical or functional consultant but I don't know how to go about because 1) all the employers require you to have done several end-to-end implementations and 2) they are looking for common modules such as BW, FICO, HCM. I wonder how to get a new job after so many years without being paid like a beginner (family takes money). Has anybody been in a similar situation and succeeded in taking up a new role within the world of SAP?
