Hi Madhuri,

Let us go through your query one by one -

It will be great full if anyone can let me know that how can i approach for interviews?

If you have a strong domain experience, please approach your friends who are working in any of the IT company and request them to apply your candidature through their repsective organizations REFERRAL program.  I am sure you will get a response from them.

Which part needs to be more focused from interview point of view?

You said you have exposed to the SAP configurations knowledge in SAP FI.  Just be firm and understand more in those particular area.  Do not give any hyothetical picture saying that you have worked on this and that and when the interviewer start asking Q on those area you are totall clueless.  Just focus on your strong area and showcase your knowledge (SAP as well as DOMAIN knowledge).  Do feel shy for not knowing.  Inteviewer rather likes to hear from you about the actual work done by you.  Be honest.

Is it possible to fetch a job as an functional consultant on these criteria?

Indeed, it is possible to join as a functional consultant with the academic background you have.  Have patience and persevarance.

Best of luck.  I hopt this will be useful.

Thanks and Regards

Madhuri,

With no real hands on experience, your certification and local training probably aren't going to help all that much. See the following blogs, but there are many other threads to this affect:

Your best bet is to get a job at a company that is running SAP using your current domain experience and slowly, over time, migrate into the back office support side of the organization.

Hope this helps!
