Hello SCN,
I am a newbie to this community and sorry if this discussion is inappropriate under this topic . I am working as an end user in SAP R/3 with a prominent retail enterprise for the past 7 years in GCC. I have also got relevant experience in WM and BI. I would like to start a career in SAP MM functional area so please recommend me about the essentials, qualifications that a SAM MM functional consultant should have.
Looking forward for your valuable inputs.
Best Regards

Sir,
Please cross check this basic guidance. A typical recruiter would be looking for the basic qualification of MBA with materials management as the core subject. Given the hands-on experience of 7 years this requirement may be overlooked by tactful negotiation.
An ideal consultant would be one who knows the subject of MM and how it integrates with other branches of enterprise of production planning, finance and control, and sales & distribution.

Ramana

Hi Dino,
I am glad to know that you are already working as an end user for WM module along with BI for last couple of years. If you already have navigated sap user menu of Material Management along with Logistics Execution then I would say you are at least aware about the basic business processes and their execution from user stand point now the need for the hour is to learn configuraiton.
So you should take some course from any reputed institute of your choice and learn the configuration. If you think you are even ready to write the certification exam you can do so.
However if not you can definately try to get into the job market as a sap consultant.
Learning Integratio with other modules would definately be an added advantage but you should be able to focus on that while you are learning the configuration.
Get back to me through linkedin in case you need any clarification.
Thank you very much.
Thanks & Regards
