Learning SAP MM / Supply Chain , Certification under MM module training ? S4 Hana and Ariba

Dear SAP Community,

I am Planning to Take up Training in SAP MM module wherein my aim is to get certified in TS452_2021 Certification for S4/HANA procurement and Sourcing . I do not have any experience in used SAP Interface/ Software

My Queries are as below

1. Do i need to undergo Basic SAP overview / Hana overview Training to take up MM module training ? or is it covered while learning MM module ?
2. What additional certification can i take other than TS452 if i get trained in MM module ?
3. I plan to explore SAP Ariba too after this ? What do you suggest on this... Should i complete MM Module training with Certificate in TS452 and then go for Ariba training n certificate or can i start with Ariba Training n certificate.

Also which one do you think has more value and demand, S4 Hana sourcing procurement or Ariba ?

Please guide me on this. Thanks a lot for your time and reply.

Hi Darrel,

Good to know you want to learn SAP and also want to certify yourself.

For any SAP certification it is recommended to have a prior industry experience, this will help you to understand business concepts easily.

Taking up basic overview is also a good idea to start your journey.

It's great to have multiple certifications but SAP MM is a big topic to understand in itself and a real experience after getting certified will give you an edge in your career.

SAP Sourcing and Procurement and Ariba are both very important solutions and used vastly in industries. I will say Value and Demand will automatically comes when you have a good understanding of the topic.
