Hi all. For a long time a friend keeps telling me to come on board and learn SAP. She has more than 20 years experience and always tell me get on board, more now that corporations are moving to HANA. My doubt always lays on my age. Im 50 yo and few years ago some IT manager said that learning SAP would be a "white elephant" if I don't know anyone in the field where I live to help me.
My question is, honestly, is 50 way to far to get into it and make a living out of it? Im quite fast learning things, more if they are related to IT. As it is a not the cheapest to learn, I dont want to spend the money and learn something that would no give me some pay back and end up with that "white elephant" in my hands.
Any honest insight is very very apreciated.
Thanks

50 is young these days and SAP faces a labor shortage, especially at customers.
