Hi experts ,
actually i just want to know the experts ,
what kind of technical responsibility / knowledge is to be needed for a SD functional guy to become as a techno-functional one ?? ....
If a guy is working in MM/wm functional module - what type of minimum technical knowledge is to be necessary to shift career as techno-functional ?? ....
someone told me programme coding is necessary , but someone suggested it's not at all - but , knowledge about , bapi - badi , exit , debugging , idoc - edi is more necessary to switch over career as techno-functional ....
Actually, i'm getting quite confused to make it out abut the right suggestion ...
please , help me out in this regards ....

I am trying to be a techno functional consultant , as per my knowledge you need to have below skill to work as techno functional consultant.
--> knowledge on ABAP Dictionary ( table creation/ domain/ data element/ fields/ structures/ different data types/ etc)
--> Simple Programming : logic to read a program in a better way and able to write simple program , it some times required to write some code in query.
--> Data migration : process and creating of path to files to upload during data migration
--> Debugging : important debugging skill
-->ABAP Query (SQ01 and SQVI)
--> Finding User Exit, BADI, BAPI and Table
--> ALE, IDOC and monitoring

thanks for your input ... just want to get more clarification ...
1. as of your point " data migration " -- are you talking about lsmw , bdc ?? ...
n one more thing i just want to know - now , I'm working basically sd - wm module basically in logistics execution n somewhere in mm also ... to become as techno-functional , is added how much extra advantage in my career-path in sap ?? ...

Hello,
yes, data migration i can say in LSMW , BDC's it is good to have knowledge on that area.
It will add Major advantage in your career, being a SD consultant you should know WM and MM as it is highly integrated with each other.
if you add technical skill than you have sky is a limit.
i started my career as a MM consultant than later i upgraded my skill to WM and SD.
i will provide you later some document to start up with ABAP, it will be helpful to you.

thanks for your precious suggestion and wise encouraging ...
actually , nowadays you know the sd module is getting a bit of crowded - a lot ppl move with sd ... ... so , i think for career betterment and future prospect it's better to blend with technical knowledge ....
