Dear Experts,

I am planning to get certification in SAP SD module but didn't know from where (either ATOS or SIEMENS, Delhi), I am an MBA in Marketing & Sales and currently working in a Bank in Dubai in sales division and have 4 yrs of experience in banking industry. I am concerned about the job availability in market for SAP SD freshers along with initial salary package and career prospect.

I need proper guidance before taking any step forward.

Regards

Hi Tushar,

the first thing is that certification never gurantees a job in sap, so don't take it as per job hunt, now when comes to its exposure , for freshers its quite tough to get a job in sap field, and salary is as per as standard industry norms, which varies from company to company.

Tushar,

Have you ever used SAP SD?

In your job, do you work with any ERP system?

Hi Typewriter,

Currently i am working in SME (sales) division in a bank and had no experience in SAP SD or another ERP system. I was thinking that after getting certified in SAP SD my career growth will take a turn and benefit me.

Hi Tushar,

please understand that changing a domain totally will not serve any purpose you are looking for, as you have prior banking knowledge the you can move towards this sector in deeper, moreever as SD is totally distinct from what you have done , a certification only boost your resume and some sort of knowledge , but what industry needs is a real time hands on experience and in which you are lacking, so certification won't help you any more , if you will get real time experience and then will take certification , it would be advantageous for you.

So, i have suggested you , there is a section of banking in SAP , if you want , then please search about it and see it exposure, as you have banking related knowledge then it will surely help you in making a good career. Please see this forum

Tushar,

First, find out what an ERP does? and then decide if you will like that field?

If you enjoy doing something, then you do it a lot, then you do it well. When you do something well, you will benefit (more money etc.) First - will you like to work in ERP? (any erp)
