Hi All,
I am Java Application Developer for the past 3 years and now I would like to shift my career to SAP ABAP.
Can anyone tell me how to start learning SAP ABAP other than attending SAP trainings?
Regards,
Anil

Hello,
it depends what you would like to do. Are you sure you want to start with ABAP? Well, you will have to learn at least little ABAP, but you can find some jobs in SAP where you can utilize you Java skills.
For example there is Java PDK for SAP portal, there is Java WebDynpro, maybe some PI/XI consulting use a lot of Java.

It would be best to:
- get employed in SAP partner company
- make them teach you something, at least some ABAP basics
- download the NetWeaver trial ABAP or java to start
- install it and try to click inside the new system
- search the web for some ABAP courses (tutorials, presentations)
