Is SCJP Certification(Java Certification) useful for a ABAPer?

Hi All,

I just wanted to know if an SCJP certification is useful for an ABAPer.I am currently working in ABAP.Will this certification help me widen the scope of my career .

SCJP certification is always helpful. But working in ABAP its not much. in future if you shift to any netweaver technologies like EP or XI then knowledge in ABAP and SCJP certification helps a lot. In these abap and Java both are used according to the company requirements. you can see some blogs like "java in sap world" in sdn. so knowledge of java is also helpful in SAP world.having a knowledge in both is an added advantage.
