Sir,
I am Bsc(PCM) & MBA(Mktg) distance from SMU(Sikkim Manipal ). I have 4 years exp in pharma sales .I am presently 38 yrs old single guy living in an Eastern metro city of India. I am presently doing a SAP course from a private reputed instt. on SAP SD. But sometimes I feel I should have some idea & understanding of SAP FICO module as well to help me in SAP SD configurations. So-
1) Should I buy some books on SAP Financials & study myself parallel to my SAP SD course?
What books do you suggest for these purpose?
Which of these books are good for me –
a)Sap Fi Financial Accounting by Narayanan
b)Implementing SAP® ERP Financials: A Configuration Guide by V. Narayanan
c)Configuring SAP ERP: Financials and Controlling by Peter Jones & John Burger
2) Can I get a job in SAP SD at this age of 38 years with such a background?
Thanking You
With Best Regards

Hi Samiran,
It is always good to have SAP Finance knowledge, as every module is integrated with SAP Finance.
I would recommend not to waste money at this point of time by purchasing various books. Look at SAP Help, probably, the best resource to understand the concepts, which is free.
If you are really interested to purchase SAP books, looks at SAP Press website, but they are expensive.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
Ravi

Hi Samiran,
I have gone through more or less these books and I have them in my library.
I have no negative comments on any of these books.
I would advise you may choose c)
Configuring SAP ERP: Financials and Controlling by Peter Jones & John Burger
Hope this helps.

Ravi
