Hi Experts,

I want to change my career to becoming a SAP SD consultant.

My plan is to practice SD concepts in IDES (test system) for 1 year. Thereafter go for job interviews.

1. What are the disadvantages & advantages w.r.t. this plan?

2. By practicing in IDES how much of SD shall I be able to learn (master). What can I not learn?

3. What major issues can I face in job interviews?

4. Any general tips, advise is welcome.

many thanks!

Regards,

I want to change my career to becoming a SAP SD consultant

I wish you all the best.

My plan is to practice SD concepts in IDES (test system) for 1 year

One year is too long a period if you have good knowledge on the business processes (functional knowledge).

What are the disadvantages & advantages w.r.t. this plan?

I do not see any disadvantages.

By practicing in IDES how much of SD shall I be able to learn (master).

You are already practicing in SDN forums and as long as there is no objection from moderators, you can continue to be active. Forums will be very helpful in gaining knowledge.

Any general tips, advise is welcome

Concentrate more on reading and learning from different threads instead of answering the questions.

Regards,

Ravi

Hi,

Getting SAP job is a big task for freshers or even with 01 year expierence .

If you understand concepts and logic in SAP , than one will be able to face interview .

Also depends on your risk takig capability and SAP industry networking .

Good luck ...

Thanks/Rajesh

Thank you for your advise!

Many times I forget concepts if I have not practiced them for 2 days. Forgetting concepts (e.g. credit management, t-codes etc.) happens very quickly.

What is the way to learn and practice Sales & Distribution, generally and in IDES so that you can remember things? How to practice Sales and Distribution to get ready for job interviews?

Dear Experts,

Many thanks for your advise! Could you please help me with the above questions.

Hi

I want to change my career to becoming a SAP SD consultant.

Good decision

My plan is to practice SD concepts in IDES (test system) for 1 year. Thereafter go for job interviews.

One year in IDES is too long,

Better you join in some companies where they take trainees or freshers.

You will get some real time projects.

What are the disadvantages & advantages w.r.t. this plan?

advantage is you can work alone.

Disadvantage is you lose too much time working in IDES for 1 yr.

By practicing in IDES how much of SD shall I be able to learn (master). What can I not learn?

You can master almost everything except the real time issues which we face in Prdn.

What major issues can I face in job interviews?

It depends on the person who is taking inteview.

If its a general opening, the person might ask you basic questions,

but if its project specfic, the person might be asking things which he is facing currently.

Any general tips, advise is welcome.

All the best. The market is Hot and make use of it.

+Thanks & Regards,*

Hi T.W

I want to change my career to becoming a SAP SD consultant.

1. What are the disadvantages & advantages w.r.t. this plan?

advantages: good plan, you can focus each and every topic wise,

disadvantages: taking long time, sometimes you will also feel bore, without job for one year with no money

mainly when market is good try to concentrate how to get a job in SAP ,you cant predict future what will happen next year.

market is good for SAP very very few chances for fresher(sorry to disappoint to you.. this is the fact)

2. By practicing in IDES how much of SD shall I be able to learn (master). What can I not learn?

its a good thing practice with forum issues , sure you will be very confident when you face the interview

the more you practice the more you will become master in any subject.

3. What major issues can I face in job interviews?

mostly basic questions(tricky) some times real time scenarios how your are going to resolve the issue

4. Any general tips, advise is welcome.

for fresher interview stick with basics and integration parts and cross functions finally some knowledge in CIN

All the best for you future

With best wishes,

Regards,

Krishna.
