I am Confused in SAP HCM or SD. Help!!!

Dear Sir/ Maam,

I have in total 7 years of experience in total. 3 years in Sales and 4 years in HR. Currently i am in Business Development Manager in Aptech, its going to be 7months since my joining. Now i heard a lot from my friend for SAP. I would like to purse SAP, but bit confused which domain to choose either SD or HCM. I have dont have core knowledge of both the domain say take it Sales or HR work. My friend is associated with one of the SAP consultant, hence he wants me to do certification and as and when i will clear the certification he will help me in the Job placement in the company, where he is currently working.


I am bit confused, which module to choose, because i don't have core knowledge of any of the domain. Now i am ready to work hard and want make a career in SAP. Please suggest which module will be the best module keeping in view future prospect and growth.

Please help.

Hi,

It is better you Opt for HCM as it has good Demand and morever you have good Domain Experience in HR

SD is Already Saturated in the market

Hi Karan,

As stated by siva, you can go for HCM, its one of the demandable module in market now days.

Just recently you moved HR area.If choose HCM, its easy to grab HCM concepts and terminologies.

Go For HCM than SD.
