Hi Everyone,
After workingin Financial sector from last 6-7 years (Banking, hospitality) finally decided to get into SAP. So stared my stuies for FI certificaton this year, and recently passed my certifcation in FI. Now I am seeking a job in uk at entry/Junior consultant levels. But i guess most of the req are for experienced consultant.
Can someone suggest me how to go about it, and which companies gives oppertunities for frehers....

If I were you, I would look for a customer, not a partner. In other words: you would take care of internall processes in FI of a company which runs SAP, not offer your services as an employee of a consulting agency.
This should give you a) better chance to get a job b) time to understand the company and its SAP system c) understand what are the typical needs and problems and the approaches how to solve them.
Not sure if other will agree, but that is what I would do now, when the market is recovering. I started my SAP career as a fresher when the market was good and got the opportunity to start as a consultant/ developer for a consulting company. I am sure I would not get this opportunity now... or it would not be that nice like it was at that time...
Cheers Otto

I hope you will get some more pieces of advise so you would be able to see a wider picture.
I also don´t want to be reponsible for your important decision alone:))
And there is one more thing I would like to ask you for. Your story is nothing special, there are more people like you, asking same questions, having similar background etc. etc. What we do here is sharing and it would be cool if other could benefit from your experience. We all are here to help you go through this and, in return, we would like to read your story then. Would you consider writing a blog about how was it and what you have learnt while looking for a job?
Or just come back here and we can talk again when you get a job. We could discuss the sharing and/or more.
Hope you will get the right job and the right boss and get it soon,
regards Otto
