Hello friends, I did sap ABAP course, before going for experience I want to take some work experience, will you guide me how to achieve it?
2013 May 11 6:17 PM
Hi Bharati ,
The process of getting the job may take some time as the companies Implementing SAP and running on SAP only want experienced people in SAP . You should not loose the patience in between .
SAP AG (SAP Labs) Hires freshers in good numbers . However the implementation partners of SAP like TCS , WIPRO , INFOSYS and others hires freshers and it is they who decides what the candidate is going to do their entire life . You cannot say that you want to be in SAP or in Java or in other thechnology . It will be decided by them . These implementation partners also hires freshers for their SAP projects but the number of people they hire is very less . In a company where 10 projects are running in SAP you will find only in one project freshers have been hired . This is the case specifically for SAP . I have seen projects in other technologies where good number of freshers are working .
Here are few Job portals :
Naukri - www.naukri.com
Monster India - www.monsterindia.com
Times Jobs - www.timesjobs.com
Shine - www.shine.com
ClickJobs - www.clickjobs.com
Freshersworld/Vfreshers - www.freshersworld.com & www.vfreshers.com
Bixee - www.bixee.com
Careerjet - www.careerjet.co.in
CareerAge - www.careerage.com
you can upload your CV to all these portals and look for the opportunity . In between make yourself strong in
your skills , so that once you get the interview call you can perform well .
Also you can directly visit some of the companies website which are working on SAP and post your CV there .
Wish you all the Best.

Hi Bharati,
First of all, congratulation for becoming a certified SAP consultant.
I suggest you to Surf through all the JOB portals, short list the job most appropriate for you.
The most IMP thing is DO NOT USE COMMON CV FOR APPLYING TO ALL THESE JOB.
Modify your CV for applying to each JOB keeping job description in mind. In other word as per Job description tailor-made your CV so that you get interview call for sure.
Instead of applying 1000 job with common CV apply only 10 most appropriate job with Tailor-made CV.
The second most IMP thing is NEVER USE WORD FRESHER.
Keep this statement in your mind that "No employer is willing to conduct a training institute."
You are a certified consultant, be confident and go KING SIZE.
Till the time you get your JOB keep sharing your knowledge and keep training your Juniors. This will help refreshing and gaining more knowledge.
Do not hesitate to ask any further questions.
Wish you all the very best.

Hi,Chirag,
I read your blog n whatever you have conveyed in it are experienced by most of us. Pre-certification my SAP Education Center didn't provide proper mentor early on. I had to knock at their doorstep daily. And, post-certification they had done huge promises, but have no hopes on them and finding my own means to have an experience in the industry. But, i always have a feeling that hardwork will definitely pay you the fruit sooner or later.
Thanks & Regards,
Ashwini

Hi Chirag,
Can you please guide me how to do SAP certification. I mean the approach, as I have got training in SAP-ABAP and also in WD4A. I'm looking to do SAP ABAP certification, but I do not know how to approach. And also I don't like to put fake experience letter and would like to prove myself.
I heard that some corporate companies like Yash, Capgemini, they are hiring certified freshers (very rare though), but if they post such opportunity again I don't like to miss them.
I currently residing in Hyderabad.
Please help me,
awaiting for your response,
thank you,
with regards,
Kumar.

Hi Ashwini Naidu,
Can you please guide me how to do SAP certification. Can you share your SAP training center details with fees and duration. I'm so confused with the ATCs, do they really charge 3lacs for 25 days training in ABAP???
thank you,
with regards,
Kumar.

Hi Jay Kamdar
I was looking out for a job in SAP ABAP ..I am done with my certification.can you guide me for the above mentioned vacancy how to apply.
2013 May 27 1:22 PM
Hi
SAP has more opportunities all over the place,
Some of the big mistakes that freshers make are -
1. Taking the interviews lightly like any other job interview - Do remember that if you fare badly in your interview there are other 1000 takers for that job unlike other jobs. So be geared up with your basics. Read your training material and as many threads on the Abap Development on SDN. Keep in touch what ever u studied by Laptop or Desktop
2. DO NOT consider a "pay package" as one of your criteria when looking for an entry into SAP Consultancy. Or even SAP end user role, I am a strong believer of "free work", as you get to learn a lot on such a job and grow in the right direction, without manipulation from your "employer".
3 Don't think that you are a fresher when it comes to applications.
So all the best with your career!! Keep your eyes open.
Remember a Big Building Built With Brick By Brick..
Thanks
Kranthi

Hi Jay kamdar
I am looking for SAP ABAP job and i am SAP ABAP certified candidate.
Please update me about SAP ABAP job u mentioned in this post.
Thanks

Capgemini India recruits SAP ABAP certified freshers ...you can post your resume in the company website and then probably if the HR likes your CV you will get called for a telephonic or walk-in interview.
Apart from that , its always advisable to create your profile on the various job sites like Naukri.com so that you can view the various available opportunities and apply accordingly.

Hi Bharti ,
Thanks for the thanks you have written above . Have you got the job ??? OR are you still struggling for the job ? I am asking this because you posted your question on 10-May-2013 and it is now 4 months , So if it takes four months it may take 5 years to get the job .
Another reason . There are many freshers who are looking for the job , how will your thanks will help them out ? If you have any reason be clear with that and mention it in the comment .
My question is Simple . What will you do if it takes too long to get the job?
Help every other fresher as well by your comment , do not just write thanks ....
Let me know if you have any questions ?

Hi Bharati Patil,
There are few companies which give oppurtunities to freshers in SAP. Contact Altimetrik India Pvt Ltd for the same. I am sure you will get through as a fresher even. At the same time keep on learning new things especially the web based things like Web UI, UI5 etc.
Also, you have to compromise with the salary in the starting stage but you must be knowing that "patience pays". So, all the best to you

2013 Sep 17 12:13 PM
Hello Kesava,
On the basis of diploma and sap abap its very hard to get job.so my suggestion you should do first Engineering and then go for the abap course and certification from authorized center. Becoz only diploma holders got job on abap its very tough thing. All the best .

Hi Bharati Patil,
Even I'm also looking for jobs in SAP-ABAP as a fresher. Please let me know if you get any idea or any openings for freshers no matter where ever it is. Even I will share if I get any information about the job openings or genuine consultancies.
And also, can you tell me how to approach for SAP certification and fees. SAP ATCs are telling it will cost around 3lacs...is it true??
thank you and all the best,
with regards,
Kumar.
2013 Sep 10 6:35 AM
Hello kumar srvn,
Yes it is true that SAP ATCs cost around 3 laks .but In that there are Two Parts,
1 online training -> cost is around 2.20 laks (training+certification) duration of training is about 3 or 5 months depends on your choice .
2.trainer training -> cost is around 3.30 laks(training+certification) duration of training is about 1 month.
after completed training time or within training time you will appear for exam.
After that certification Main question is about job? yes it very difficult to get job as fresher. If you certified from SAP ATCs then that ATCs give placement assistance (not placement guarantee) .ATCs give you MNCs call .but very few not more that depends on that ATCs reputation .so when you go for certification choose good ATCs and check their placement history.
All the best
