hi all,
need your suggestion, after working for 2 years in SAP SD (with 2 years of domain experience in sales and after sales) my Boss is asking me to learn BI and BO and support him in making new reports and dashboard initially it sounds good when you are getting a chance to learn something new but then the real journey starts. when boss ask you for the output immediately. actually i don't know much about BI and in our company there is no one who can guide me fully or at-least can provide good intro of BI. i have to do it my own and have to learn. now i have question whether i will be able to do it ? whether it is good to switch the module after working 2 years in SAP SD? how do i start?
request you to guide me.
Thanks
Ashwini

Ashwini,
learning a new module without any one help is so difficult . But whenever u go for a new module, my advice is first understd the basic core of that module.
if ur much interested in that core, u can move further.
Come to BI, I think it is technical module(am not sure also). u want to become techno-functional or cross functional in ur carrier??
think.

Hi Ashwini,
If you are interested in that go ahead and explore the same with the help of SAP documents. Like wise you started in SD. There we have lot of resources over internet you need to check it our and start.
Some people worked for more than 5 years and more to some other module and it may helps whenever you become a lead or manager for the project to understand business in better way.
Good Luck
