Help need to learn Basis

Hi All,

I want to learn SAP Basis, which books are best for a beginner and also i have ECC 5.0 with me is it enough to practice on it or have to get ECC 6.0?

my system hardware supports only 32bit application, i heard that ECC 6.0 SR3 only supports 64bit hardware...

Hi,

The first thing I would suggest is do a course on SAP-Basis from a reputed, SAP certified Training center.

You can also look at help.sap.com, look for information online. You will find lots of sites.

ERP Version ECC 5.0 is a good place to begin with.

ECC 6.0 is latest in ERP, however its not necessary you should have it.

This can be installed on 32bit OS.

ECC 5.0 / 6.0 looks to be similar with some more integrations in newer one..so 5.0 is enough to practice right...

Hi,

ECC 5.0 is based on Kernel 640, whereas ECC 6.0 is based on 700.

ECC 6.0 is a more advanced version than ECC 5.

For you to practice ECC 5.0 is as good a version as any to begin with.
