Hi, collegues
I am seeking for a job on position MM/PP primarily in west/international companies
The main problem that I am from Ukraine (Kyiv).
Now, i registered mostly on US web-sites such as dice, monster, others and tried to applyed resume for its MM/PP positions thats mostly correspond to my expirience. But the thing that had no calls(the most problem, i think, in difficulties of getting H1B visa).
What you can advice for me? In what countries i can better/faster get such opportunity?
I have 3+ year’s experience with 2 full cycle implemented projects, 2 pre-sale projects. Professional skills in MM-PP functionality (presentation, writing project documentation (including project scope, project plan, blueprint, TS, user guides), configuring, testing, writing TS, data migration, end-user training, support). Experience with integration of adjacent modules (FI, CO, SD, PM, PS).
Also, If you have any real proposals, i can send detailed resume upon request

Hi Pavlo,
I would suggest you to try projects in Germany and Switzerland as there is demand for Russian speaking candidates. Rather than US, I would suggest you to try in Canada as getting Permanent Residency is easy and then on that residency permit you are eligible to work in US as well.
Social media like LinkedIn is certainly good option for networking. But in your case, I will recommend Xing for this purpose.
Recently, I have seen lot of candidates from Russia and Ukraine getting deployed on projects in Germany and Switzerland.
Be determined and keep up your confidence. You will soon get good opportunity.

Shanu Patil.

Hi, Shanu
Many thanks for your advices
Questin. Is it possible to be hired in Germany/Switzerland without Deutsch language skills?

Yes Pavlo. Those are english and russian speaking projects. As you know, there are lot of SAP Consulting companies in germany who are having international end clients. You will find such projects in Frankfurt, Berlin and Düsseldorf. Avoid places like Hannover, Hamburg as there will be only German speaking projects.

Just one more information for you. In Germany, you can apply for Blue Card i.e like H1B. In Switzerland, there is large public sector project which requires russian skills. Do a research, you will easily get it.
I hope I have answered your question.
Regards
Shanu.

Replying to your original questions about opportunities in US with H1B, here are my inputs (based on my experience):
Dice and Indeed are where you get the inquiry calls(if any) from. Don't waste your time on Monster. But most of these calls lead to nothing. If you are in the US (and the emphasis is on IF) then what you need to do is catch hold of a "prospective employer". This prospective employer does not pay you up front. You need to agree to get your Resume marketed by this employer. In other words, they would do the job-search for you. And that is the way to go because they being recruiters, have direct contacts with many SAP Partners and Customers. If and when they land you with a project, they take you on their payrolls (officially) and pay you. Of course for all the effort of getting you a project, they take their cut!
Now coming to the if-you-are-not-in-the-US part, the above scenario usually doesn't work and you are pretty much on your own.

Tip: Your Resume should be top-notch. Truthful yet strong and convincing. Most Clients short-list customers looking at the Resume!
