Hi,
Recession affects the global market. Many of the US projects may put on hold/Canceled. But on the other side, many organizations across the globe other than US are also implementing SAP widely. Though the US market goes down, the other market will not have much impact. So, don't worry about the recession rumors. Try to be neutral..........
One more important thing for you, even if you are a Certified Consultant from Siemens, there is no guarantee that you would get placed soon. It all depends up on your skill set.

If I would know the impact of the recession, I would go to stock market and get rich. You cannot ask this kind of questions, because there is no good answer to them. We can guess for you, we can lie to you, but you will never know. This questions does not have a answer that can help you.
It is always tough to get an entry level job, so there is no need to doublecheck that. It is difficult.
Work hard, learn quickly, create opportunities, look for "SAP friends", that`s something you can do. Rest is luck/ life.
