Look at the left side ofABAP Development page (the main page of forum in which you are posting), there are some useful links like Get Started with ABAP Development. Look now at the upper right corner of the page, there is a search tool, try keywords like abap fresher

ABAP in 21 days is the first two weeks of the four-week ABAP Academy taught back in 1999 (version 4.0x)! Even Ken (the author who taught the ABAP Academy back then) would tell you that the book is seriously out of date. Recently, I had to look for training materials for internal use, should we have a programmer who wanted to come into our group. I found a wonderful blog by Dr. Thomas Weiss, of SAP, and I seriously recommend this material to you.... It's found here:
Additionally, two of my favorite sources on these forums, Thomas Jung and Rich Heilmann of SAP Labs have written a fine tutorial manual, available from SAP Press, called Next Generation ABAP Development, 2nd Edition. If you like books, this is a great choice, IMHO.

Start with the blog by Dr. Weiss...it's a step by step process that, at finish, should make you able to work on existing programs and perhaps create new reports.

Hi Rakesh,
Pick up any standard ABAP book and learn in the same sequence. Furthermore, if you would get some hands on you will learn about the various possibilities in a single thing.

Also, as a beginner I referred to the BLACK BOOK of ABAP, I am not sure about how people rate it. However, it gave me a good start.
