Finding SAP FICO Domain Experience | What should I be doing?

825

Hey Everyone!

I have graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) degree in 2020 and have completed my SAP FI/CO Power-User Certification.

I just want to know if it is possible for me to get an SAP Consultant position in a company. How do I go about it and what jobs should I be looking to get into? How do I improve myself to be a better consultant and get more domain experience?

Thank you for taking the time to look at the post!

I recommend learning more about S/4HANA and S/4HANA for Finance; in S/4HANA, "FICO" become one.

There are free courses at OpenSAP - see https://open.sap.com/courses?topic=SAP+S%2F4HANA

If you are looking for a position, I recommend starting with a support position

Hey Tammy

Thank you for the advice. I will look more into S/4 HANA Finance.

Hi Rathan,

it's not the most affordable way to go about it but i would invest in a S4 instance through CAL - an added bonus is that way you would learn a little bit about cloud billing.

also, the devops tutorials are great, if you stay focused and are willing to look behind the covers of the sample code and don't need to practice debits and credits.

otherwise, try getting near a migration or 'FI to CO fusion' project, in any capacity.

Good luck,

gm
