Experienced BASIS, Certification in BASIS or HANA?

Hello Everyone,

I am confused about my certification decision because I have 5 years experience in SAP BASIS with Oracle, MaxDB, Sybase etc. Last year I was thinking of doing certification in TADM51 but now I am thinking of doing C_HANATEC151. My budget is right now a little tight, which certification should I opt for? I am thinking of going deep into HANA later on.

What I think that I should go for HANA because I already have good experience in the BASIS and hopefully I may not need the BASIS certification anymore because of the experience I already have and HANA certification will cover it, yes/no?

If i do either of the certification then I will not be able to do the another certification in next 7-8 months becuase of the budget constraint.

Dear Faisal,

As you already have 5 years of Experience in Basis and tight budget, HANA Certification would be better.
