Experience in to SAP SD as a Quality Assurance

Hi all, i hav 3yrs exp. in  vistex SD -QA analyst in Vistex Asia pacific pvt ltd so im planning to shift my Career As i don't have any Coding knowledge in Java/.Net Can you please suggest me if i can start my career in SAP SD functional tester or any other ?plz guide me thanks

Hi Chaitanya,

As you are looking career in SAP Testing , Please let us know is that Manual testing or Automation Testing.

Manual testing needs you should aware of business process and SAP SD knowledge. one more thing to write / update test scripts , you need basic knowledge on test tool , Ex : HPQC

Automation Testing allows to test the scripts with out manual intervention and completes the task very quickly. you need to know automation tool Ex: QTP .

You need to have coding knowledge to automate the scripts.

Thanks for ur replys.

I have  over all 4.2 yrs of experience in to  manual testing only  and knoweldege on Vistex SD functionalites. I am very good at SAP configuration & functionalities of Agreements/pricing topics and basic knowlede on Data Maintenance. for testing we use vistex internal tool.

Knoweldge on QTP ,but never worked on that so not interested on coding.

if  i want to attend interview for other companies,do i need to learn SAP testing more or SD functional? and which profile is good for my expereince im confusing.

Hi Chaitanya, I am not sure what are the business scenarios you have  covered in SAP SD Testing. Pricing, credit management , Third party sales ,rebates, Inter company sales , knowledge on document types , Item category , schedule line controls , copy controls...Etc. As you have 4 years experience in SAP SD, you need to have integration knowledge with other modules , Batch jobs, Idocs processing, Debugging, LSMW/BDC tools....Etc. From Testing point of view , we do not required to have in depth knowledge. As we know expected result mentioned in HPQC and will check the actual result by executing step by step mentioned in tool. I agree with SS, you should try for SAP tester.

But if you have a strong desire to get into SAP SD, then you can...but it will take lot of effort.
