Hi Experts,

I am working as Enterprise Portal (Mainly Web Dynpro JAVA) consultant since last 4.4 years in same company. Is it ok to continue with this skill? Can you guide me what else I can learn or do to enrich my career.

In my opinion SAP Portal wasn't well received. I don't see a long future for Webdynpro for JAVA.

I recommend you to check https://open.sap.com and learn about SAP Fiori (SAPUI5) and SAP/4 Hana.

SAP Fiori is the new standard of SAP it uses JavaScript and is powered by SAPUI5.

I would suggest switching to Webdynpro ABAP, or pick other areas in SAP Netweaver such as PI etc.

As far as im aware, theres no market for Webdynpro Java and very little for Portal.

Although it depends on your geographic location.
