Hi,
I'm a EHS professional with 13 years of experience across various fields in Project Management, Oil & Gas, Real Estate & Facilities Management. I am into EHS management in all these fields.
Now I want to shift to technology platforms such as SAP EHS/EHSM. This is one that most of my colleagues in my circle advised me about according to the relevance with my current domain expertise.
I understood that basic IT knowledge is required for me to enter into this field. But I don't know where to start in SAP EHS as it has various modules and integrates with various other platforms. I would like to leverage my core domain knowledge to shift my career for wider prospects.
I would really appreciate if anyone can guide me through this situation and help me along.
A quick summary:
1. How and where to start?
2. How much time do I need to spend while working parallelly in my current job?
3. What to learn?
4. How much time does it take to get a job in SAP EHS?
5. How is the future scope for this field?
6. What is the highest level we can reach in this field as a Consultant or Full time employee?
7. Is it really needed to be SAP certified to work in SAP EHS?
