Hi Aniket,

This is very unfortunate for you.

To brief, before the recession 2008, SAP recruitment was in full swing. There are very less SAP certificate holders and more people are recruited to SAP based on your domain experience (I am one in that), later we got certified. Those days, you cannot do SAP certification without min. 2 years of relevant experience.

Now it has been changed and any one can do certification, so there are more certified consultants. Which resulted to recruiters to search for candidates with relevant experience. Domain recruitments are almost reduced to minimum.

You need to search for small companies, where they pay very less, but you need to adjust for 2 years. Once you gain experience, your salary will automatically raise.

Aniket,

I know that it might be very difficult for you. Keep learning and attending interviews, you will break into the SAP job market. Have you tried being an SAP instructor? It will help in several ways, this will be an "on-the-side" job which will give you some income.

work hard and good luck,

Hey TW

Thanks for this good idea however OLT being pritty strong do you think there is enough scope for ILT ? Can EUT (End User Training) be also thought as an Option of Side income ?

Thanks

Aniket,

I know that to say / advise is very easy and to go through the journey is completely different. But your mindset of "waiting...when will the wait end..." is defective! This part of your journey - searching, trying to break into SAP - should be way more positive than you are currently making it. Learn everyday...participate in FI forums...try to R&D every question and give your best. SAP is about hard work for a long long time...

Recruiters are asking about number of implementations...most of them don't understand that having implementation experience depends upon luck (right project, right time)...they are given a set of questions to ask and they mechanically ask. Learn what are the skills an implementation gives and then prepare yourself.

ravi, maybe you can give the OP some inspiration.
