Hi I am Anubhav Das I am in the final of graduation through Delhi university, SOL. I have scored 59% till now in my graduation and have 77% in 12th. I am taking training of Tally Erp 9 and Advance excel. I am interested in doing SAP FICO but i am a complete fresher.
My questions are :
Ques 1 : I want to take the training of SAP FICO initially and then take experience in a job of SAP FICO. Then after 1-2 years applying for certification. Can you tell me is my decision right ? And can you tell me best institutes in Delhi that provide placement after training ?
Ques 2 : I am also want to do MBA in Finance but only after cracking CAT and i can wait till I crack it. My question is that i have been told as i don't have a high score in 12th and that's why colleges under CAT won't give me admission. Is there any such criteria and if it is there what are the other ways of increasing my points to get admission.

Dear Anubhav,
You are thinking two different directions to be completed in a single shot, which is not possible.
You should decided, whether you want to become SAP Consultant or go for CAT MBA.
No SAP training would give you a guarantee of job. What if, if you do not get the job after training? Getting job with simple SAP training has almost become impossible, there are very few exceptions to this. If you need to authorized centres list, please contact SAP, they would be able to give you further details. Any other institutes are legally not valid. You have authorised training partners like Genovate, ATOS etc. are there. There is no guarantee that your Certification would get you a guaranteed job, more it is not a job guarantee program.
With reference to CAT, it is extremely difficult to get into. I am not discouraging you, but one of the toughest entrance examinations in the world. You must be very best. Forget about your 10+2 scores, you should get above 99.9% scores in entrance, still no guarantee. It is a complete strenuous program, you should dedicate nearly 16 - 20 hours a day during the MBA program. I would say getting into IIMs is next to impossible task. This is not like other MBA entrance test, you should have at-least one year planning and 12 - 15 hours hard work a day and to crack IIM entrance, still 99% people would fail, only 0.01% cream of the cream people would go in.
First of all you need to decide what you are intending to achieve in life. You cannot eat everything right now.
All the best.
Kind Regards,
Ravi

Hi Anubhav
1. What you said is an option. But if you can afford the cost of certification, I would suggest to get certified first as that will enhance the chances for placement. SAP has also introduced the option of E-Learning, and that costs around 270,000. Classroom training costs around 400,000
Private institutes cant offer you placement, even if they commit.
2. For MBA and CAT, its better to take advise from someone who deals into that. This forum may not be the right one for that

Thank you sir, but i was informed that sap is not that easy to understand at once and to take the training first and after getting some experience , apply for the certification. I am totally new to this concept but very much interested that's why just trying to remove the confusions.
Secondly if i take the training of 400,000 is there any specified number of attempts that we can give to take the training.
And my last question is can you tell me some of the institutes where i can take the training i am in Delhi. I have heard that C-DAC Pune and Hyderabad are best institutes.
