Hi All,
I am currently working with wipro as a Syclo Consultant, I have an existing S user Id through Wipro. I recently got offer with a company to work as a Contract to hire posstion in SAP Labs for Successfactors Cloud support, SAP Labs is generating an C user Id for me.
Benefits I earned through S Id are as below
i) I can access sappartneredge.com and complete new technology assessment through the sappartneredge.com
ii) I can login to SAP Market place using Sid and download any server and applications
iii) I shall use the SId for SAP Community network aswell
Kindly differentiate C user Id and S user Id.
Please list out what are all the benefits I shall avail from C user Id
Do clarify will I benefit above mentioned 3 operations using an C id and also what more I can do using C id appart from S id
Also kindly suggest me shall I join SAP Labs as a contract to hier employee ?
Thanks,
Vigram.

Hi Vigram,
So far as i understand C id in this context is contractor Id. I had to work on contract and the client company issued C id only for contractors. S user id is something quite different from C id.
S id is to access all resources at SAP Market place nothing to do with C id. I suspect you will no longer have that S user Id given to you by Wipro as it is for its employees only.
C-id is contract employee id, which will be used by the client company(SAP Labs) to make the contract employee enable all the access like system access and other sources and also for billing purpose.
So far as joining on contract is concerned if it is Wipro outsourcing you into SAP labs on contract, nothing to worry to go forward. But if you are on permanent payroll with Wipro and opting to join on contract under some contracting company, things will be different as you will be leaving Wipro and will no more be its employee.
Straight way that will mean You are an independent consultant having expertise in your domain who have taken contract to deliver service for some duration at your own billing rate to your client. After you are done providing the service, and at end of contract client may or may not require you any more. But again, sometimes it happens:
if it is a contract to hire (C2H) and you have immensely contributed at your client's place (SAP Labs) they may even purchase you from that contracting company with higher pay.
Hope it helped you ..

HI Aparajit,
Your clarification was very helpful, I am a Permanent employee with ABC, due to very low salary in ABC and also no onsite opportunity, I am moving out of ABC as a SAP Contractor (through XYZ), My focus is to work very effectively and to become a permanent Employee with SAP in its pay roll.
I need your help in few more details, kindly tell me will I be able to access partneredge.com using C id ?
Thanks,
Vigram.

Hi Vigram,
I really had doubt if the answer was helpful as you dint mark that helpful.
Well, coming to your queries..
I heard Wipro pay scale is handsome and when it comes to Niche skills like SAP no question. Anyways,as you have decided You must have found some points of prospect within the new offer. But my question is : Why to go for contract when you are wanting a permanent position with SAP?
You can go to career.sap.com and you can register yourself and can get the desired opening.
So far as partner edge is concerned i am sure you will not be able to access with C id as C id has limited rights as because C id holders are not in house employees so some kind of data protection policies are applied by administrators and therefore access is a bit restricted.
But if you are currently able to access partner edge with S id at you present organization, I guess you will be able to access the same if your client (SAP Labs) gives you another S id which they are using for business purpose. You need to enquire it with them.

Hi Aparajit,
I have registered with https://careercenter.sap.com, searching job for arround 6 months in Syclo and SAP Mobile platform, every month or two months once new Syclo opp is been generated and I used to apply for the same, but in the status it always shows as In process and after few days it will be rejected. there is no proper single point of contact to ask for the rejection of my profile.
Since I got this Successfactor support project with sap Labs as a contract to hier possition, I thaught I will stick to it and demand ABC for onsite and parallely giving interviews with EFG, XYZ etc.
If ABC doesent provide onsite for sure I will take CtoH with SAP Labs and keep searching for Syclo req.
Thanks,
Vigram.

Hello Vigram,
I understand what it feels like. Don't feel bad with those rejections. You have already come so far with your hard work. Also, i must remind you the position that you are in now, there are so many people trying everyday to achieve the same but getting rejected.
So if you feel you deserve better and not getting that, I don't see why should not you try opting for change. Also, you strategy is okay, Please go forward.
You can also try for international openings. There are clients who need Indian resources. Please keep looking for that as well.
I hope the C id and S id differences are answered.

Hi Aparajit,
Thanks for the motivation, I belive SCN users cannot share their contact or company details through SCN. Kindly find a better way to share the sam.
Thanks,
Vigram.

Hello Vigram
Sending direct messages is the better way. In SCN you can not share violating rules.
Click the follow link of the person you want to send the message. But you can only send direct message only if that person follows you back, meaning thereby is: a person following you can receive your message

Hi Vigram,
Your question was about the user id. I hope you have checked the answer. C id is not contractor id but Customer id. You diverted from your own question itself.

Shanu.

Hi Vigram,
With C (Customer) User ID you will be having restricted access to OSS. The solution is to contact your extranet Super Administrator and request the access. If you don't know who it is, please ask someone who is Super User to check the name of the administrator under "My Portal Profile" - "Display my super administrators".
Usually contractors get new user id everytime they join the new project. If you want your own id, please undertake any of the SAP certification.
