CRM Functional Consultant job with Tables

Hi Gurus,

Can anyone tell me what are jobs of the CRM Functional Consultants with Tables. I mean to say what they exactly do with Tables and how in depth they should know. Is it sufficient to know the Table names only. Kindly tell me briefly.

Hi Samiran,

I am not sure if somebody has (mis)guided you that you just need to know some tables to work as a functional consultant. To work as a functional consultant, you need to have the domain knowledge which needs to be earned through industry experience. You cannot learn/earn that just by going to any training centers/institutes. So if you do not have any industry experience, then it would be difficult to get into the functional consulting. Since you haven't mentioned your background, we cannot suggest anything with the available information.

Just a brief overview of Functional Consultant is somebody who understands the business function for e,g. HR , Sales , Service etc. ( The dictionary definition you can say)

For a SAP functional consultant at an entry level you need to know customizing and when to customize what i.e. why do you customize a particular.This is how you would understand various business functions.

As you grow up you would pick the business function as well.If you check across industry people make their way up the ladder as I have mentioned.

Well If you know only tables then its a bit difficult but if you know customization yes you can.
