Commerce Graduates : SAP FICO or some other module?

Hello All,

I'm Kumar, i completed my M.com, i have Domain Experience in AR (ERP SAP Enduser) for 2.5 Years in Genpact, then i joined in CTS there im working for AA & GL  since 4.1 Years in AS400 (End User) ERP.

Please let me know..........

1. As i'm into Finance & Accounts Background, I want to learn SAP FICO and settle in SAP field, is SAP FICO ok to learn or do i need to learn any other module too ????

2. As of Today and Future, how are the career prospectus for SAP FICO??

Hi Kumar,

Firstly after knowing your qualifications and previous experiences, I believe you can choose any module in SAP and settle once you get the required knowledge. Moving on, as per my opinion you can select SAP FICO which is a good option for a commerce background person, also you can either opt for SAP CRM. Both these modules are good for continuing career in SAP and from job point of view.

Hi Kumar!

I would like to suggest FICO with regards to your Education background.

But still you can choose any module as Marc has said.

You can even think of Customer Relationship Management(CRM) and Sales & Distribution(SD) which has good scope once you acquire sound knowledge.

Hi Kumar,

U r welcome!

As far as SAP is concerned, U have job oppurtunities in cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Pune which are the major IT Hubs in India

CRM is related to Customizing.

There is one more to think of-Supplier Relationship Management.
