I have Done my masters in Fin & banking , worked for a bank for a year and then moved to IT in banking in a MNC for 2 and half years. Then relocated and got into Successfactors.

In my company here i have been told to focus on successfactors here and not delve much into SAP HCM.I have read very basic stuff in SAP HCM.

So i was wondering how else can i hone my skills before i get into a project in Successfactors ?

Since i have the time on hand i want to make the most of it.

Hi Aditi,

Considering your background, I would suggest you go more towards FICO, rather than going to HCM. It would be good idea to learn basic fundamentals towards FI and CO. FICO knowledge is certainly helpful for any type of consultant.

Kind Regards,

Ravi

Hi Ravi,

I understand your point but i have been told to focus on "Successfactors" and not on SAP side.Except for knowing the basics of SAP HCM .

So it is not feasible to move to SAP FICO at this point.

As i already mentioned that i am waiting to get into a project and i wanted to do utilise this time better so i want to do something on SuccessFactors front only.

Thanks

Aditi

dear,

ABAP is much more useful  than your "SuccessFactors"....

do not waste your time and focus on SAP FI, CO or technical areas

good luck!

Hi Aditi,

You can learn HR processes of Performance appraisals, Compensation Management cycle etc meanwhile and then apply them in Success Factoors.

Hi David,

Success factors has became my area of interest since the day my organization started promoting it. It is going to Boom in SAP HR with its cloud computing technology and Very cool and user friendly GUI.You dont belive it exactly looks like a Facebook, twitter web pages, very friendly. You will love it.  Its maintainance and administration cost is zero compared to on-premise SAP HCM Servers. No Support packs, No patches. Just login and use with a user id and password as you do with Windows 8 MS office @ cloud.  I have been going through many subject materials of SAP HR Success Factors starting from Integration of SF Employee Central with SAP HCM Personnel Adminstration, Configuration Workbook set up for Performance Management etc. SF Recruiting component is amazing. I had worked on SAP E-Recruting, but never seen such amazing functionalities like Profile Matcher, Compatibility with any Job Boards in the world, nothing is complex with Success Factors.

Check with your Organization if they are providing any trainings in SF. or Surf through your Org's Learning and Traniang programs website, you will definitely find many SF study materials.

Thanks,

Sudheer Kumar
