Career shift from functional testing to SAP

Hi,

I am a functional test lead with 10yrs experience. In Media domain for past 6yrs. I would like to shift my career to SAP. Can anybody suggest if i can learn SAP BW or HANA at this stage of my career. If so what would be my best bet like.. Administration or development or testing?

Please advice.

Hi Santosh,

As you have 10 years of experience in Testing domain & If at all you decided to shift your career then why don't you try SAP testing. If you google, you will see lots of information on this topic which might help you.

Hello Santosh,

Learning SAP is great if you have interest and some prior knowledge in it. In your case I have a question that after being functional test lead for so many years and after working in Media what made you plan learning SAP?

Learning and changing career are two different things. So in my suggestion you please do not plan to change your career instantly rather than continue with your ongoing job and just start learning SAP after that think if you are developing interest or not. If you get interest both SAP BW and HANA will be good!
