Career in SAP MM

Hallo, This is Swapnil Ajmera from Pune India.

I am B.E. with distinction.

I am having 7+ yrs of experience in manufacturing industry, and have hands on experience in Materials Management.

I have also completed a training on SAP MM module ( 4 months training ) and now I am appying for a position of SAP consultant, but my lack of experience in SAP CIONFIGURATION is becoming a hurdle for me to get a SAP breakthrough.

I have also attempted 2 numbers of Interviews for SAP but didnt succeed because of lack of experience in SAP configuration.

Please can anyone help me:

a) Is there any way I can practise SAP configuration at home with live examples so that I can go with more confidence for my next call.? (I have SAP IDES installed on my PC)

b) Is domain experience and SAP MM training is not suficient to get an entry in SAP domain?

c) How to get a breakthrough for SAP?

Please help me I am desperately looking for an opportunity to work on SAP.

Hi,

Yes, you can Join into SAP with domain experience and training on SAP. Opputinities will be more like trainee positions. If you have some SAP experience, then you can expect better positions. Any how during 4 months training you might have undergone the the training MM configuration. At your home you can practice the congig steps like creating enterprice structure and run MM scenarios in your system. Log into the SDN and get knowledge frome here. Ultimately you will get the onfig knowledge. All the best. Thanking you.

This does not sound very legal. Do you feel okay about that? And about putting your address here too?

By the way there are plenty of information on help.sap.com, don`t tell me you went through at least 0.1%. Because that could help a lot for example.
