Career as SAP SD functional Consultant

Hi, I am working in a company as a SAP End User in SD Module for past 10 months in Bangalore. Prior to this, I come from a back ground of International Sales for 4 years of experience in Ahmadabad, having a degree in Bachelor of English and Masters in International Business.

Manufacturing sectors are more in Ahmadabad compared to IT sector. After moving to Bangalore only, I am exploring the opportunities in IT sector.

It is very much obvious that I cannot go to the core IT, but as far as I have researched, I can go as a functional consultant there (non-technical) for SD module, SINCE I AM ALREADY HAVING AN EXPERIENCE IN SALES AND DEVELOPMENT, through my past experience.

From November to March again the IT hiring will start, I want to appear for the interview then and get a job.

But I am clueless where to start from. Also I do not want my past 4 experience to be wasted.

Right now, I am facing below problems:

  1. How to choose a good SAP training center?
  2. Since SAP authorized centers are too costly, therefore, joining there would be a matter of concern for me.

Please help with your valuable, practical suggestions.

Regards

Priyanka

Hi Priyanka,

Good to hear that you have worked as SAP SD End User.  You can go for SAP Certification online or classroom.  If you look at past discussions, there were institutes mentioned in the discussions what they offer like placement assurance, fees, duration of course etc. As you are in Bangalore, there are few centers which they offer certification, but you need to ask placement assurance from them.

Getting the classroom training is very costly in India.  Do a well research and at least check with 5 institutes pros and cons then choose the institute.

Best of luck.
