Hello Team,
Though I found many similar questions like this, I would like to ask again so that I could get some updated information.
here are my queries.
I have been working in ABAP environment (did ABAP Certification).
Now I would like to enhance my career options, I am in a dilemma to choose a module in BIBO / HANA or CRM Technical.
1. Few people are suggesting me for HANA, but Do I need to learn anything else with HANA? and How are the opportunities (ABAP/HANA)?
2. Which module is the best option for ABAPers to get a good career growth?
3. As I already have S-User ID I would like to give direct SAP Certification exam in Abroad (may be in Srilanka), Is it advisable?
as I can't afford 2-3L again.
please suggest me. thanking you in advance.
Thanks & Regards,
Srinivas

Hi Srinivas,
According to my knowledge ABAP with any Module in SAP is good fetching in the present market.
1.ABAP with BI is a hot cake in market because 20% of coding is based on ABAP only , it is Added advantage.
2 HANA now it is getting into the market it will take some time and in HANA also there is need of ABAP coding
3. But for HANA also u should require little knowledge of BI .
As per my knowledge learn BI after some days leran HANA Both are important for carer growth.
Thanks,
Kishore.

Hi,
As per your mail you can do SAP certification without spending 2-3L.
if you are working in any company you can take Approval from your Head of the company it costs you about 40K
you can do specialization in ABAP as the subject itself is Vast
Though HANA is hot there are Already many People Tranied and Hunting for the Oppurtunity as there are Very Few Implementations on HANA

Hi Siva,
Thanks for the reply.
As per my knowledge as We don't have any specialization in ABAP (for certification).
As I have some ABAP experience I am thinking of moving to BI first then can go with HANA later stage.
Is it advisable?
Kindly give me a suggestion.
Thanks,
Srinivas

Hi Srinivas,
As you already know ABAP and have done the certification as well, I think opting for BI will be a very good option at this point of time. Your plans are really good to go for HANA later(As HANA is future).

Hi Kishore,
Thanks for the reply.
Few ppl are advising me for CRM ABAP also, instead of changing complete path.
right now I am working for only FI module (OIL & GAS Area).
In my project only BI scope is there. Could you please tell me which one is better BI/BO or CRM ABAP?
Thanking You in Advance.
Srinivas.

Hi Srinivas,
CRM web UI is currently in high demand and lot of projects are going on. But if you are planning for future then BI/BW is better. Because HANA can be dealt with ease then. I hope it will be helpful for you

Hello Srinivas Pudari,
As I read your conversation with other experienced guys,
You reached for this conclusion -
1- You will learn Hana later.
2- you want to choose between CRM ABAP and BIBO
SO my advice is don't confuse yourself and go for BIBO.
The simplest Reason is, abap related to BIBO and Hana relates to BIBO. (ABAP --> BIBO --> HANA)
So for long future planning you should choose BIBO.

Hi Srinivas,
My suggestion is please prefer the ABAP instead of HANA and some other modules i mean
Functional Consultants ( MM,PP,FI,SD). whatever implementation threre is a need for ABAPer help and also ABAP career opportunity is more compare than HANA.
